I am Luis Manuel (Luma) Olguín, a social scientist specializing in Conversation Analysis, interpersonal communication, and qualitative research methodology. I hold a PhD and MA in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MA in Linguistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Family Medicine at UCLA, where I use an interactional approach to analyze communication processes in primary care and healthcare research.
